Omni Eye and Vision Squamish is a compassionate and experienced team that is dedicated to providing a full spectrum of high-quality personalized eye care for the whole family. Our goal is to meet and exceed your expectations by providing friendly service, professional care, and quality products at affordable prices. Our vision care services include complete eye examinations, contact lens exams and fittings and a full array of high end designer frame selection. We conduct comprehensive exams which allow us to accurately detect eye disease or other abnormalities early, often before they present any symptoms. Early detection in many cases can lead to treatments that will prevent vision loss. To make an appointment, simply call us or request an appointment online.
Question: How are you supporting other local businesses?
Answer: We support local businesses by providing a 25% discount on eyewear purchases when business owners come in for their eye exam. We also try to be flexible, accommodating people’s busy schedules, or helping out when they have an emergency. We’ve even done the odd home visit during the COVID-19 crises.
Although eyewear mostly isn‘t made in Canada, we use almost exclusively local service providers. About 90% of our suppliers are based in B.C., and it’s mostly businesses right in Squamish. We get our office, medical and cleaning supplies from London Drugs, we use Garibaldi Graphics for printing, Century Signs for signage, and Inbiz for our banners. We use a local cleaner for our office.
Question: What social and environmental practices are you proud of?
Answer: Our goal is to support and enhance people’s quality of life, to deliver care differently in a welcoming, safe and compassionate environment. Our greatest satisfaction is from enhancing vision and quality of life.
We are a small and new business, but we do offer training and help build up the skills of our employees, offering courses when we can. And we offer perks – discounted eyewear and contact lenses.
I’ve started offering a plant-based brand in the clinic (Dragon Eyewear). The frames are made of recycled water bottles and each purchase supports a clean water initiative. We’re trying to support those type of companies and are trying to affect positive change in the industry.
We’re excited to support local causes as we get more established – we are just tapping into everything in the community since we opened the clinic. We donated our time to fix eyewear recently at a Repair Cafe organized by the District of Squamish. And we worked with our Burnaby location to partner with a Burnaby company who is taking parts to build respirators in India. I have a heart for the First Nations community, and I’m an Ultra runner, so I want to support athletes too. So our goal is to sponsor the First Nations Snowboard Team in the future.
