Corona’s Restaurant

Corona’s Restaurant offers the Mexican street food that represents the best of traditional cooking. The scent of these familiar dishes draws hungry diners to experience the unique richness of flavours that emerges in traditional cooking techniques. We want to bring tacos, quesadillas, burritos, tortas, tostadas and masa-based treats to Mission. There is a House Menu as well as daily specials to introduce customers to some more unique Mexican dishes. Each dish conveys both deeply satisfying taste and a delicious warm feeling of a place we call home. Either way you’re in for the ultimate taste of Mexico….Corona’s style!

Question: How are you supporting other local businesses?

Answer: Most of our inventory comes from B.C. owned businesses. It’s more expensive to buy from local farmers, especially in the winter, but we do it to make sure we have the best produce, and to support local businesses. We buy from local liquor outlets too. And all of our services support other B.C. businesses – we support local businesses when we buy accounting, banking, advertising, repair & maintenance, legal, and t-shirts for staff uniforms. We bank with Envision Financial, use Sue’s Copy for printing, get our signs printed at NuTek, use local trades for plumbing, repair and maintenance, and do our advertising with Mission City Record and What’s On! Mission Magazine & Online.

Question: What social and environmental practices are you proud of?

Answer: We’re proud of the jobs we create and the environment we can provide for our staff. We pay above minimum wage, but we also go out as a team about once a month to have fun. We’re like a big family! We go movies, we go bowling, we’ve even gone camping. I also discuss any changes to the business with my staff, involving them so they feel ownership over the business too. We also donate gift certificates to support the work of local causes and charities – schools, festivals, seniors groups, the local FoodBank, baseball teams, the fire department. You name it, we’re a supporter.
