Buy Southern Sunshine Coast BC | unceded territories of the skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), shíshálh (Sechelt), ɬəʔamɛn (Tla’amin), ƛohos (Klahoose), and Xwémalhkwu (Homalco) Nations.

The Southern Sunshine Coast spans a 100 km string of rural, ocean-side communities along the coast of British Columbia, extending from Langdale to Earl’s Cove on the traditional unceded territories of the shíshálh and Skwxwú7mesh Nations. The rugged mountains bordering these inlets cut it off from direct road connection to the rest of the province, so although part of the British Columbian mainland, the Sunshine Coast relies on ferry or air transportation to access our unique and vibrant communities.

The Sunshine Coast Regional Economic Development Organization (SCREDO) performs economic development functions on behalf of four local governments: Town of Gibsons, District of Sechelt, Sunshine Coast Regional District and the shíshálh Nation. We are the point of contact for all economic development and investment inquiries for the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.

SCREDO is proud to run our own regional buy local program: Keep it Coastal. Keep it Coastal is a place based brand that celebrates and promotes community love here on the Sunshine Coast. We educate onthe benefits of choosing local, amplify community pride, and support small local businesses through community-driven buy local campaigns. Find everything you need, and more…from dining to shopping, services, farmers markets and festivals. Come spend some time discovering what our amazing business community has to offer, reconnecting with nature, and enjoying the laid-back vibe.
