Aikidaily International Academy provides world class aikido instruction to our community; promote a safe and healthy environment to practice in; for our students to develop discipline, self-confidence, self-control, self-reliance to protect themselves and loved ones; and to promote a healthy lifestyle and a healthy community. The knowledge and skills we teach should extend outside of the school; improving overall quality of life; and to create outstanding community members. We value perseverance, discipline and self-motivation.
Question: How are you supporting local businesses?
Answer: We do our best to support local businesses. Our cleaning supplies come from Be Clean Naturally in Squamish and Slope Side Supply in Whistler. Our embroidery is done at Mountain Crests corporate outfitters. Inbiz takes care of all of our printing needs. Our business banking is through Vancity and Community Futures Howe Sound has been a great resource for financing and business advice. Hunters Automotive maintains our vehicles, and our insurance is through Westland Insurance. Century Signs did the wrap on our van.
Question: What social and environmental practices are you proud of?
Answer: We support the Community Christmas Care Fund Drive, several local school and charity fundraisers every year, as well as an art therapy program for youth at risk in East Vancouver. We employ locals, recycle and compost and encourage our members to volunteer in the club and locally.
