Question: How are you supporting other local businesses?
Answer: CL Web Developers was founded in 2018 by creative and innovative individuals who care deeply about entrepreneurship, collaboration, and technology. Over the years, we have committed ourselves to the process of integrating digital-based solutions into everyday business and community activities. Our work entails delivering a variety of meaningful digital services to small businesses and community organizations. Our web developers, directly support the operations and service delivery of dozens of local businesses across British Columbia each day. In 3 years, we’ve provided digital services for over 100 businesses in British Columbia alone. We are also members of local business organizations such as the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce (GVCC), The Black Business Association of BC (BBABC), the Burnaby Board of Trade (BBOT), Black Entrepreneurs of BC, and the Victoria Innovation, Advanced Technology & Entrepreneurship Council (VIATEC). In 2021, CL Web Developers received an A+ accreditation rating through the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
Question: What social and environmental practices are you proud of?
Answer: We frequently donate our services to non-profits. In the last year, we have donated our services to a handful of organizations. One of the organizations we supported with a free website development was Decolonize Together – a collective of Indigenous, Black, People of Colour (POC) & Settler womxn and non-binary educators, academics, artists, and activists. We are also currently supporting Wear2Start Society, a non-profit society that builds confidence by providing clothing and services to empower self-identified women as they take their next steps. We also provide charitable cash donations. Over the 2021 holiday break, we donated to our local food bank – Mustard Seed. This year we’re looking forward to contributing to more community-focused initiatives and growing our partnerships in our local community.
